On the Stage

In the depths of her heart, fear resides,

The darkness engulfs, where shadows collide.

Afraid of the unknown, she trembles inside,

As the dimmest of lights, still cause her to hide.

The brightness that blinds, one shade too bright,

It pierces her soul, fills her with fright.

She shies away from the crowd’s loud cheer,

On the grand stage of pride, she drowns in fear.

A thousand eyes upon her, but her voice is lost,

Silenced by anxiety, a heavy cost.

Yet, she portrays strength, appears so strong,

But deep down, she, too, finds words all gone.

And as you sought to understand her strife,

You discovered your own loss in this life.

Both wandering souls, struggling to be heard, In a world where silence can speak louder than words.

Changes Happen

Today this one was lovely
It unfolded its rainbow tongue with contentment
It sits still under the captivating scenery of a palm tree
I was really mesmerized by its stance
It looked like an angel, roaming carefree
Then suddenly there was a drumming from
A door away
That disrupted its whole tranquility
Terror was evident
Wide eyes and pounding chest
Children laughter from a distance
The sound fades and did not return
It crawled to the other side of the palm tree
Its peace was together once again.

We Can Be So Ungrateful

Why can’t there be a perfect moment to revel in the glory? Why can’t I be happy? I am just not successful enough I am stressed and why’s goes on. We go home to a warm meal sleep in comfortable beds have all our basic needs met, yet we are unfulfilled. I walk along the streets hungry mothers, hungry children, males that have lost hope because they have no idea where the next meal is coming from; neither do they have shelter. when I observed these things; It’s hard not to be depressed. It’s moment like these remind me of how ungrateful we can be. If they had a chance to walk an inch in our shoe their gratitude would be far greater than this whining nature that we portray; they would have already learned what it is to be at their lowest.
I am not saying we should settle and not try to go above and beyond our achievements; I am simply saying be thankful for every moment of every day. Change what we can change in our lives, what we can’t leave it to our almighty God he alone has the power to do so.
Life at times take us to desolate places and leaves us with testimonies to share when it takes us to where we should be.

Tears you are like raindrops

Tears you are like raindrops

You’re like raindrops

You form dark clouds around my heart

A strike of lightning straight to my heart

Leaving only dust to blow away in the wind

I can feel only empty space within

Tears you are like raindrops

Flooding this world with tense emotions

You can only wish for these days to past

To bring sunshine back to your heart

So brave you stood there trying to hold it in

But memories comes flashing in

The ones that use to make you laugh

The ones that tear your whole world apart

Fighting desperately to pull yourself together

But how can you in this horrible weather.

Break of dawn where you are now

To start the day anew

So that your sunshine

Can dry these tears away.

The divided

Reflection why are you mad with me

You throw punches

I stand tall and fight back with all my might

You know I deserve better

But yet you hate me

Only because you want to take control

But that’s not me I cannot sell my soul

Please don’t be mad with me

We can be one in peace

Just choose my way and you too will be great

We won’t be destroyed in any one’s bitter fury

Because we would love each other and that would be unity

Don’t wait too long, I await your response

Because only together we can be one.

To celebrate it with you

You deserve to be treated like royalty today

And every day

You are a dedicated father and friend

A husband I would never exchange

In hard times you never fold

You extend your arms to keep us from the cold

You motivate and inspire us each and everyday

I love you Happy Birthday

A Great Friend

Your friendship reminds me

Of the rainbow that hovers in the sky

With colors that grab the attention of many

You stand out because there is not many like you

So determined and honest

So kind and true

You will shoot positivity with your lips

But you will never go to war

You are a great friend in every way
