Flooded space.

Above the mountains

The waves grew high

Crashing down on everything in sight

On the hills a few stood watch

What could they do but stood in shock

In our house our fist clinch tight

Fixed to bars on a horizontal plane

We floated and tilted down the hill

Minds filled with mercy we hope to gain

As we came to a stop the water subsided

We sighed in relief, giving thanks

We never anticipated another wave

Yet from a distance it flows again

Someone shouted

Head to the hills that’s safer ground.

My eyes wide open as we stood on the hill

It was morning when I felt at peace

I head to the kitchen to get my cup filled.

Tears you are like raindrops

Tears you are like raindrops

You’re like raindrops

You form dark clouds around my heart

A strike of lightning straight to my heart

Leaving only dust to blow away in the wind

I can feel only empty space within

Tears you are like raindrops

Flooding this world with tense emotions

You can only wish for these days to past

To bring sunshine back to your heart

So brave you stood there trying to hold it in

But memories comes flashing in

The ones that use to make you laugh

The ones that tear your whole world apart

Fighting desperately to pull yourself together

But how can you in this horrible weather.

Break of dawn where you are now

To start the day anew

So that your sunshine

Can dry these tears away.

The Awesome Stranger

The awesome stranger looked at me

So afraid to hold him

Because of fear of the unknown

He called out to me with his luring eyes

Begging me to take my share of gold

The unknown kept holding me back

Telling me to stay put never to move

Packing on its many bricks on my back

Adding its epitome of negativity as an extra load to carry

I forced my way up but failed miserable to stand up

With eyes wide open I saw the awesome stranger stretching out his hands

Even his reassurance to help falls on deaf ears

Even with his irresistible perspective

I was forced to look away

Even though my heart yearned to hold him

The unknown held me tight telling me he will never let go.
