Changes Happen

Today this one was lovely
It unfolded its rainbow tongue with contentment
It sits still under the captivating scenery of a palm tree
I was really mesmerized by its stance
It looked like an angel, roaming carefree
Then suddenly there was a drumming from
A door away
That disrupted its whole tranquility
Terror was evident
Wide eyes and pounding chest
Children laughter from a distance
The sound fades and did not return
It crawled to the other side of the palm tree
Its peace was together once again.

Tears you are like raindrops

Tears you are like raindrops

You’re like raindrops

You form dark clouds around my heart

A strike of lightning straight to my heart

Leaving only dust to blow away in the wind

I can feel only empty space within

Tears you are like raindrops

Flooding this world with tense emotions

You can only wish for these days to past

To bring sunshine back to your heart

So brave you stood there trying to hold it in

But memories comes flashing in

The ones that use to make you laugh

The ones that tear your whole world apart

Fighting desperately to pull yourself together

But how can you in this horrible weather.

Break of dawn where you are now

To start the day anew

So that your sunshine

Can dry these tears away.

Confusion

I can hear people quarreling

Sirens echoing in the air

The rumbling sound from the man cutting grass

The vehicles passing with their loud horns honking

The hammering from the repair man

Followed by his repetitive sawing

Leaving my teeth with numbness

My ears pounding like a tortured soul

Now the clap of thunder

Down comes the pouring rain

My Extraordinary Bestfriend

When I look around each day

It’s you that I see

Whether up or down

You are there for me

In my dull moments

You make me smile

And tell me to get myself together

It’s only for awhile

You deserve a gold medal

Around your heart

You are the most genuine motivator

I have ever come across

I will hold your hands to the end

Because you are no other than

My extraordinary best friend.
