Today this one was lovely
It unfolded its rainbow tongue with contentment
It sits still under the captivating scenery of a palm tree
I was really mesmerized by its stance
It looked like an angel, roaming carefree
Then suddenly there was a drumming from
A door away
That disrupted its whole tranquility
Terror was evident
Wide eyes and pounding chest
Children laughter from a distance
The sound fades and did not return
It crawled to the other side of the palm tree
Its peace was together once again.

In The Rough
My absence has made my heart feel empty
Not able to share what’s happening in my world
My mind was dragged to another place
A place that demanded my attention
A place that will force you to look on no other.
In this place my cries for freedom go unanswered.
But yet again I have escaped,
I have broken the chains
Hoping never to be captured again.

Only at the Peak
To get success you have to be willing to climb a mountain
trip over rocks and if you fall you better start climbing again
because rewards and accomplishments are only at the peak.

We all can shine no matter who we are.
Gold, silver, and bronze are at different levels
But they all have one thing in common they can shine.

Focus On Your Journey
Everything looks green as you walk on by,
but don’t gaze continue on your journey
At the end of the road there are doors waiting to be opened.
The long walk will be well worth it.
The perfect moment
An opportunity for a perfect moment
An opportunity to take a chance
It is time for the stars to shine
So let’s dance to the disco light
Step out no regrets let us dance until we are wet
This moment let us frame
Let this moment be our fame
In the same moment I will take your hand
So we can dance together to the end

The Awesome Stranger
The awesome stranger looked at me
So afraid to hold him
Because of fear of the unknown
He called out to me with his luring eyes
Begging me to take my share of gold
The unknown kept holding me back
Telling me to stay put never to move
Packing on its many bricks on my back
Adding its epitome of negativity as an extra load to carry
I forced my way up but failed miserable to stand up
With eyes wide open I saw the awesome stranger stretching out his hands
Even his reassurance to help falls on deaf ears
Even with his irresistible perspective
I was forced to look away
Even though my heart yearned to hold him
The unknown held me tight telling me he will never let go.
